PTT Global Chemical is likely to shut down its No.1 phenol and acetone plant in Map Ta Phut. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the plant by the end of September 2025 for maintenance. However, the duration of the shutdown has not been confirmed, and official verification remains unavailable.” Located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the No.1 unit has a phenol production capacity of 250,000 mt/year and acetone production capacity of 150,000 mt/year.
