PT Asahimas Chemical is planning to take its No.1 Caustic soda unit off-stream. A source in Indonesia informed a team member, "The company is expected to halt operations at the unit in March 2026 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained." Located in Cilegon, Banten province of Indonesia, the No.1 unit has a production capacity of 138,000 dmt/year.
