PRefChem brings No. 1 PP unit on stream

Pengerang Refining and Petrochemical (PRefChem) has restarted its No. 1 polypropylene (PP) unit. A source in Malaysia informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at the unit in around October 1, 2025. The unit was shut in mid-August 2025 due to technical issues. Independent verification of this information could not be obtained.” Located at Johor, Malaysia, the No.1 PP unit has a production capacity of 450,000 mt/year.
