Petro China Jilin Petrochemical is likely to shut down its Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have scheduled a maintenance shutdown at the plant starting September 15, 2025, with operations expected to resume on September 27, 2025. However, this information could not be verified with an authorized source.” Located in Jilin, China, the unit has a production capacity of 290,000 mt/year.
