Orlen is presently running its Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at lower rates. A source in Poland informed a team member, "The company has been operating its plant at reduced run rates since early March 2026, following the declaration of force majeure at its downstream PET plant. The exact duration for which the plant will continue operating at lower rates could not be ascertained.” Located in Wloclawek, Poland, the plant has a production capacity of 690,000 mt/year.
