Ningxia Baofeng eyes turnaround at No. 3 CTO unit

Ningxia Baofeng Energy is likely to take off stream its No.3 coal-to-olefins (CTO) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company has scheduled a maintenance turnaround at the unit in September 2025. The exact duration of the shutdown has not been confirmed, and an official statement from the concerned authority was unavailable.” Located in Ningxia, China, the No. 3 CTO plant has a methanol production capacity of 2.8 million mt/year, ethylene production capacity of 550,000 mt/year and propylene production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
