Shandong Yulong starts up new No.2 MTBE plant

Shandong Yulong Petrochemical has started up its new No.2 Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have started the plant in end-September 2025, following the completion of all necessary formalities. An official statement from the concerned authority is not yet available.” Located in Longkou, Shandong province of China, the No.2 plant has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
