Mitsui Chemicals to resume production at TDI plant

Mitsui Chemicals is likely to restart its Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant in Omuta. A source in Japan informed a team member, “The company is expected to resume operations at the plant in the first half of September 2025. The unit was shut for maintenance around July 27, 2025. However, this information could not be independently confirmed with an authorized source.” Located in Omuta, Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 50,000 mt/year.
