Lotte Chemical is in plans to shut down its Styrene monomer (SM) plant. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the plant around October 15, 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the plant has a production capacity of 580,000 mt/year.
