Vietnam HDPE Plant Resumes Production

Long Son Petrochemical resumes production at HDPE unit

Long Son Petrochemical has brought onstream its High density polyethylene (HDPE) unit following a prolong shutdown. A source in Vietnam informed a team member, “The company has restarted its unit around August 19, 2025. The unit was shut in mid-October 2024 along with an upstream cracker owing to narrowing production margins and weak demand sentiments with operations scheduled to restart in end December 2024.” Located in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 500,000 mt/year.
