Long Son Petrochemical has reopened its cracker after a prolonged shutdown. According to a source in Vietnam, the company resumed cracker operations around August 18, 2025. The cracker closed in mid-October of 2024 due to concerns about shrinking margins and dampened demand for derivatives. It is located in Long Son, Vietnam and has an ethylene capacity of 950,000mt/year, and a propylene capacity of 400,000mt/year.
