LG Chem has taken off stream its cracker in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the cracker around October 13, 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. The cracker is slated to remain offline until early December 2025.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the cracker has an ethylene capacity of 1.27 million mt/year and propylene capacity of 700,000 mt/year.
