LG Chem is likely to take off stream its butadiene (BD) unit in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is in plans to shut the plant by mid-October 2025 for maintenance. Further details regarding the duration of the shutdown are not yet available, and attempts to obtain confirmation from an authorized source were unsuccessful.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the BD unit has a production capacity of 170,000 mt/year.
