LG Chem operates Caustic soda unit at lower rates

LG Chem is presently running its caustic soda unit at curtailed capacity levels. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has been operating the plant at reduced rates since early June 2025 and is expected to continue running at lower rates until the end of August 2025.” Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 750,000 mt/year.
