LG Chem shuts Acrylic acid units for maintenance

LG Chem has taken its acrylic acid (AA) units off-stream early last week. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has shut the unit around March 30, 2026, for a maintenance turnaround. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained." Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the units have a combined production capacity of 645,000 mt/year.
