KPIC to run Onsan cracker at lower rates

Korea Petrochemical Industry Co (KPIC) will operate its cracker in Onsan at curtailed capacity levels. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company will run the cracker at reduced rates till end December 2025. The reason behind the production cut could not be ascertained.” Located in Onsan, South Korea, the cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 900,000 mt/year and propylene capacity of 460,000 mt/year.
