KMCI to undertake maintenance at MDI plant

Kumho Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (KMCI) is planning to take its Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) plant offstream. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is likely to halt operations at the plant by April 2026 for maintenance. The exact start date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Yeosu, South Korea, the plant has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year.
