Keyuan Petrochemicals is expected to continue to keep its No.1 Styrene monomer (SM) plant off-stream. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have extended the shutdown at its plant for an unspecified period. The unit was taken offline around August 11, 2025, for maintenance. Further details regarding the duration of the shutdown could not be confirmed, and no official statement from the concerned authority was available.” Located in Ningbo, Zhejiang in China, the No.1 plant has a production capacity of 100,000 mt/year.
