Jiutai New Materials shuts methanol plant

Jiutai New Materials has undertaken an unplanned shutdown at its methanol plant. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the plant around November 5, 2025, due to a technical glitch. The plant is likely to restart by the end of November 2025.” Located in Inner Mongolia, China, the plant has a production capacity of 2 million mt/year.
