Jiangsu Hailun Chemical has shut down its No.1 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Jiangyin. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the unit for maintenance on August 28, 2025. Further details regarding the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained. This information could not be independently confirmed with an official or authorized source.” Located in Jiangyin, China, the No. 1 PTA unit has a production capacity of 1.2 million mt/year.
