INEOS Petronas Acetyls is presently running its acetic acid plant at curtailed capacity levels. A source in Malaysia informed a team member, “The company is heard to be operating the plant at curtailed production capacity levels since restart of operations in end October 2025. The unit was shut down in mid-October 2025 due to feedstock availability issues.”Located in Kerteh, Terengganu in Malaysia, the plant has a production capacity of 535,000 mt/year.
