INEOS Petronas Acetyls resumes operations at Acetic acid plant

INEOS Petronas Acetyls has restarted its acetic acid plant following a turnaround. A source in Malaysia informed a team member, “The company has brought the plant onstream at the end of December 2025. The plant was shut down around November 25, 2025, for maintenance work and feedstock-related issues.” Located in Kerteh, Malaysia, the plant has a production capacity of 535,000 mt/year.
