ILBOC mulls maintenance at base oils units

Iberian Lube Base Oils Company (ILBOC) is likely to take its Group II and Group III base oils units off-stream. A source in the Spain informed a team member, “The company is eyeing maintenance turnaround at the units over May-June 2026. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Cartagena, Spain, the Group II and Group III units have production capacities of 260,000 mt/year and 636,283 mt/year respectively.
