Hengli Petrochemical to resume production at No.2 PTA unit

Hengli Petrochemical is expected to restart its No.2 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Huizhou. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is likely to resume operations at the unit around September 9, 2025, following an unplanned outage. The unit was shut around August 21, 2025, due to technical issues. However, this information could not be confirmed with an authorized source.” Located in Huizhou, China, the No. 2 PTA unit has a production capacity of 2.5 million mt/year.
