FCFC resumes production at No.2 PTA unit

Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC) has brought on stream its No.2 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit in Ningbo. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have restarted its unit around September 4, 2025, following a maintenance shutdown that began around August 10, 2025. However, this information could not be confirmed with an authorized source.” Located in Ningbo, China, the No.2 unit has production capacity of 1.5 million mt/year.
