Hanwha TotalEnergies closes PX unit to perform maintenance

Hanwha TotalEnergies Petrochemical in Daesan has shut down its Paraxylene unit (PX). Sources in South Korea told a member of the team that "the company halted operation at the unit around 2025 due to a maintenance turnaround." The unit will remain offline until the end of September 2025. It is located in Daesan (South Korea) and has a capacity of 1,26 million mt/year.
