Hanwha Total mulls turnaround at BD unit

Hanwha Total Energies Petrochemical is likely to shut its butadiene (BD) unit in Daesan. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company is expected to take the unit offstream around the second half of January 2026 for maintenance. The exact date and duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 150,000 mt/year.
