Hanwha Total resumes operations at butadiene (BD) unit

Hanwha Total Energies Petrochemical has restarted its butadiene (BD) unit. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company has resumed operations at the unit around February 3, 2026. The unit was taken offstream in the second half of January 2026 for maintenance.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the unit has a production capacity of 150,000 mt/year.
