Guangxi Petrochemical to halt production at HDPE unit

Guangxi Petrochemical Company is likely to take off stream its High-density polyethylene (HPDE) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the unit around October 18, 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. However, the duration of the shutdown remains uncertain, and no official confirmation has been provided.” Located in Qinzhou, Guangxi, China, the HDPE unit has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
