Guangxi Huayi Energy Chemical has shut down its No. 2 acetic acid plant in Qinzhou. A source in China informed a team member, “The company shut down the plant on October 6, 2025, for maintenance. Details regarding the duration of the shutdown have not been confirmed, and no official confirmation could be obtained.” Located in Qinzhou, Guangxi in China, the No. 2 plant has a production capacity of 700,000 mt/year.
