FREP to halt production at MEG unit

Fujian Refining & Petrochemical (FREP) is likely to take off stream its Monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit in Quanzhou. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is expected to shut the unit in the second half of October 2025 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Quanzhou, Fujian in China, the MEG unit has a production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
