Formosa Petrochemical to resume production at No. 2 BD unit

Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) is likely to bring on stream its No. 2 butadiene (BD) unit in Mailiao. A source in Taiwan informed the team member, “The company plans to resume operations at the unit by September 2025. The unit was shut down for maintenance in August 2024. However, an authorized source could not be reached for confirmation.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No. 2 unit has a production capacity of 162,000 mt/year.
