Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) is likely to undertake a planned shutdown at its N-Butanol (NBA) unit in Mailiao. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is in plans to shut the unit in mid-November 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the unit has a production capacity of 250,000 mt/year.
