Formosa Plastics USA is planning to keep its Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) unit offline. A source in the US informed a team member, “The company is likely to keep the unit shut owing to technical issues. The unit was taken off-stream around November 26, 2025, owing to a process upset. ” Located in Point Comfort, Texas in the US, the MEG unit has a production capacity of 360,000 mt/year.
