Formosa INEOS Chemicals Corp has shut down its acetic acid unit in Mai Liao. A Polymerupdate source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is heard to have shut its unit on September 3, 2025 for maintenance. However, the duration of the shutdown remains uncertain, and confirmation from an official source is still awaited.” Located in Mai Liao, Taiwan, the plant has a production capacity of 300,000 mt/year.
