Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has taken off stream its No.1 butadiene (BD) unit in Mailiao. A source in Taiwan informed the team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the unit in the second half of September 2025 for maintenance. However, details regarding the duration of the shutdown remain unclear, as no official statement has been issued by the concerned authority.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No.1 BD unit has production capacity of 109,000 mt/year.
