FCFC runs No.2 SM plant at reduced rates

Formosa Chemicals and Fibre Corp (FCFC) is operating its No.2 Styrene monomer (SM) plant at reduced capacity levels. A Polymerupdate source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is expected to operate its unit at around 80% of production capacity through September 2025. The reason for the reduced operating rates could not be ascertained, and an official confirmation was not available.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No.2 plant has a production capacity of 350,000 mt/year.
