FCFC reduces run rates at No. 2 SM plant

Formosa Chemicals and Fibre Corp (FCFC) has lowered operating rates at its No. 2 Styrene monomer (SM) plant. A source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The company is currently operating the plant at around 70% of its production capacity levels since early October 2025. The reason for the reduced output could not be determined, and confirmation from an authorized source is still awaited.” Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the No. 2 plant has a production capacity of 350,000 mt/year.
