FCFC starts maintenance at No.1 PTA plant

Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp (FCFC) has halted production at its No.1 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in Ningbo. A Polymerupdate source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have shut the plant around September 4, 2025 for maintenance. The duration of the shutdown remains unconfirmed, and efforts to obtain verification from an authorized source remained unconclusive.” Located in Ningbo, China, the No.1 PTA plant has production capacity of 1.2 million mt/year.
