Lotte Chemical is likely to run its Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) unit in Daesan at curtailed rates. A source in South Korea informed a team member, “The company plans to operate the unit at reduced capacity levels starting September 2025. The reason for the lower operating rates could not be determined, and verification from an official source was not available.” Located in Daesan, South Korea, the EVA unit has a production capacity of 110,000 mt/year.
