Asian ethylene vinyl acetate prices were stable during the week ended Aug. 20, following three consecutive weeks of upticks amid an increase in demand, market participants said. high EVA grade CFR China prices unchanged day over day and week over week at $1,300/mt Aug. 20, based on a tradable indication heard at the same level. Similarly, the medium EVA grade CFR China was assessed flat over the same period at $1,260/mt on Aug. 20, in line with a tradable indication heard at that level. The assessments took into consideration indications of stable prices heard during the week. "Both producers and downstream buyers are generally holding low levels of inventories," said a Northeast Asian producer.
