Equinor shuts methanol plant for maintenance

Equinor has undertaken a planned shutdown at its methanol plant in Tjeldbergodden. A source in Norway informed a team member, “The company is heard to have started maintenance at the plant in the first half of October 2025. The plant is expected to remain offline until November 2025.” Located in Tjeldbergodden, Norway, the plant has a production capacity of 900,000 mt/year.
