Sinopec Hunan to bring ECH units on stream

Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical is likely to restart its Epichlorohydrin (ECH) units. A source in China informed a team member, “The company plans to resume operations at its units by early September 2025, following a maintenance shutdown that began in mid-August 2025. An official confirmation could not be obtained.” Located in Yueyang, Hunan, China, the units have a production capacity of 32,000 mt/year and 50,000 mt/year.
