Dairen Chemical to operate VAM plant at lower rates

Dairen Chemical is likely to run its Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant at reduced run rates. A Polymerupdate source in Singapore informed a team member, “The company is expected to operate the plant at around 80% of its production capacity from mid-September 2025. The reason for the reduced operating rate remains unclear, as confirmation from an official source was not obtained.” Located in Jurong Island, Singapore, the plant has a production capacity of 350,000 mt/year.
