CFR FE Asia price down $35/mt during week / Liaoning Kingfa to shut ACN unit in June

Asian acrylonitrile prices fell in the week to May 26 amid slower downstream demand. ACN CFR Far East Asia down $35/mt week over week to $1,700/mt on May 26, while CFR Southeast Asia fell $60/mt over the same period to $1,650/mt. Buyers were in a wait-and-see mode, anticipating further price declines. FOB China offers and selling indications were heard at around $1,530/mt during the week. Trading activity could slow next week, as market participants attend the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference in Fukuoka from May 28 to May 29.
