CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company (CSPC) is in plans to shut down its No.1 Monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit in Guangdong. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is likely to undertake a maintenance turnaround at the unit in October 2025. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown have not been confirmed, as an authorized source was unavailable for comment.”Located in Guangdong, China, the No.1 MEG unit has production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
