Celanese has restarted its Vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant in Pulau Sakra. An industry source in Singapore informed a team member, “The company is heard to have resumed operations at the plant in end September 2025 after completing a turnaround. The unit had been shut for maintenance around August 15, 2025. However, confirmation from an official source was not available.” Located in Pulau Sakra, Singapore, the plant has a production capacity of 210,000 mt/year.
