Celanese is presently running its Acetic acid unit at reduced capacity levels. A source in Singapore informed a team member, "The plant is operational at curtailed production capacity levels since restart of operations in early November 2025. The unit was shut for brief maintenance work on October 20, 2025.” Located in Pulau Sakra, Singapore, the unit has a production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.
