BPCL will keep Group II base oil unit on stream

Bharat Oil Corp Ltd (BPCL), has postponed the closure of its Group II Base Oils unit in Mumbai. Sources in India told a member of our team that the company had delayed the shutdown to August 22nd, 2025. The unit had originally been scheduled to undergo maintenance starting August 12, 2025. Located in Mumbai (India), the unit has a 450,000 mt/year production capacity.
