Asian Benzene: Prices fall in line with MOC trade / TotalEnergies sells GS Caltex Oct FOB Korea $734/mt / CFR China sees interest, CFR Taiwan discussions limited

Asian benzene $2/mt lower on the session at $734/mt FOB Korea on Aug. 22, in line with a trade reported during the Market on Close process. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures rose 37 cents/b to $67.70/b as of the Asian close. Meanwhile, the naphtha C+F Japan marker rose $2.50/mt to $587/mt. During the MOC process, TotalEnergies sold to GS Caltex October FOB Korea at $734/mt, in line with the intraday value at $734/mt. Some interest emerged in the trading session for CFR China cargoes. Offers for 18,000 mt and 24,000 mt cargoes for October arrival were heard at a premium of $18/mt against the weekly Mean of Korea. Meanwhile, a bid for a 6,000 mt October arrival cargo was heard at a premium of $15/mt against the October WMOPK....
